Setting up the Wildmoka Transcoder

The Publish add-on is powered by Wildmoka in the background, and Wildmoka publishes from its own format rather than directly from your source media.

As part of the Publish add-on, an Iconik domain automatically gets a Wildmoka Transcoder created. The Wildmoka Transcoder is a cloud transcoder creating both an Iconik Proxy and a Wildmoka format.

Configuration

  • Configure Iconik Proxy

    • Max Proxy Size - The maximum resolution that we will create proxies in. We will not upscale small content, but larger resolutions will be downsized.
    • Max Proxy Bitrate - The maximum bit rate the encoder should use.
  • Preparation Storage
    • This is the destination storage for the Wildmoka formats generated. It defaults to your Iconik default file storage.
    • Follow these steps to change the preparation storage : Connect to Your Iconik Domain from Wildmoka
  • Preparation Ingestion size
    • Transcoding Profile of the Wildmoka format

Output

View of the Files Panel of an asset with Iconik Proxy and Wildmoka format

Note : A Wildmoka format isn't a prerequisite for publishing — when an asset lacks one, the transcoder produces it on the fly as the publish job runs.
