Mark up your media with frame-accurate comments and visual annotations. All comments and annotations sync in real-time across the Iconik Player, web interface, and iOS app, enabling seamless collaboration regardless of which platform your team members use.
Annotations and tools menu
Tools menu
The Iconik Player includes the same annotation tools as the web player. They can be selected from the tools menu
- Brush - Draw freehand lines and strokes on the video
- Arrow - Draw directional arrows to point at specific elements
- Circle - Draw circular or elliptical shapes to highlight areas
- Rectangle - Draw rectangular shapes to frame or highlight regions
- Line - Draw straight lines between two points
- Text - Add text labels and notes directly on the video
- Laser - Temporary pointer that appears in real-time during sync sessions (does not save as a permanent annotation)
- Zoom - Zoom into the video to see details more closely by selecting a portion of the image
- Eye Dropper - Sample colors from the video (useful for color reference)
- Select - Select and move existing annotations, or resize and edit them
Color picker
Choose colors for your annotations using multiple methods:
- Color Gradient - Click anywhere in the color spectrum to select a color visually
- Preset Swatches - Click one of the preset color squares for quick access to common colors
- RGB Sliders - Fine-tune your color by adjusting the Red (R), Green (G), and Blue (B) sliders individually for precise color values
- Color Preview - The bar at the bottom shows your currently selected color
The selected color will be applied to all new annotations you create until you choose a different color.
Line width selector
Choose the thickness of your annotation lines and strokes. Select from preset widths:
- 1px - Thinnest line (fine detail work)
- 2px - Thin line
- 4px - Medium-thin line
- 8px - Medium line
- 16px - Medium-thick line
- 32px - Thick line
- 64px - Thickest line (bold emphasis)
The selected width applies to all drawing tools, including brush, arrow, line, circle, and rectangle.
