Iconik’s real-time review sessions allow frame-accurate collaboration, where everyone in the session sees the same frame at the same time. Instead of isolated comment threads, this creates synchronized conversations that move projects forward faster and with greater precision.
In sync mode, participants can follow live movements on their screen as another user:
- Draws annotations to highlight areas of a frame.
- Moves the scrubber between frames in a video sequence.
- Zooms in or out of an image.
- Pans left or right in compare mode.
- Adds comments or annotations in real time.
- Switches to other assets in the playlist
This shared perspective accelerates both feedback precision and creative breakthroughs, as all reviewers are always looking at the exact same frame.
Creating and Starting a Real-time Synchronized Session

Real-time synced review sessions operate on a Playlist share, so simply created a Playlist share as described in Real-time Review Sessions
Starting

Participants open the share which shall be run in real-time, this can be done multiple ways, e.g.
- Click the link in the email you received.
- The
button on My Shares page.

Visit Share after right clicking a share in the Share Panel.
- Open the asset you want to start with by click that asset.
- Start the real-time synchronized session by pressing the Start Sync button on top righthand corner.
Player View in Real-time Synchronized Sessions
While in a real-time review session, the player view highlights the selected frame and allows you to switch between other frames using the top navigation bar. In this view, you can for example:
- Approve or reject assets using the thumbs icons.
- Use annotation tools and colored lines via the toolbar.
- Compare frames, flip, or rotate using the three-dot tools menu.
- Hide the playlist bar or side panel to focus fully on the media.
- Download an asset with the Download button.
- Exit the session at any time by selecting Leave Sync at the top.
