Act as User

It is possible to Switch to another user’s account to act as that user. This enables testing out functionality for example what that user can see and do in iconik.

Switch to user

To do this you much have be a Power user or a Domain Owner, and have the “Can act as user” role in iconik.

From the User list:

1. Click on ADMIN in the top navigation.
2. Choose Users from the left navigation bar by pressing
3. In the table of users you will see SWITCH TO THIS USER next to each user
4. Click on the that in the row for the user you are interested in switching to.

From the User’s page

On the Admin page:

1. Click on ADMIN in the top navigation.
2. Choose Users from the left navigation bar by pressing
3. Click on the user’s name which you wish to act as.
4. In the header of the profile image will be text SWITCH TO THIS USER
5. Click on this text

Switching out of the user

You should switch out of the user before you logout.

1. Focus on the bar that appears at the very top of the browser window.
2. Click on GET OUT
3. You will be redirected back to your user account.
