Invite links make it easy to add multiple users to your account at once. Instead of sending individual email invitations, you can generate a single link, share it with one or more people, and control how new users are added when they join.
Invite links are time-limited (links expire after 7 days) and configurable, giving you flexibility while maintaining control over access.
What is an Invite Link?
An invite link is a shareable URL that allows new users to join your account without needing a direct email invitation.
A single invite link can be used by multiple people
Invite links expire after 7 days
Users who join via the link are automatically added with predefined settings (teams, role groups, groups (legacy).
Where You Can Find an Invite Link
Invite links are available in two places, depending on your workflow.
During Onboarding
As part of the onboarding steps, you’ll see an invite link that:
Adds users as Standard users
Assigns them to the default team that you created in the previous step
Additional teams and role groups, or alternative user types can be updated from the Users page at any time
This option is designed to help you quickly invite teammates when first setting up your account.
From the Users Page (Invite Modal)
You can also generate an invite link from the Users page:
Navigate to Users
Select + New Users
From the invite modal, choose Invite by link
Set the User type and Primary team or group (legacy) that will be set for users with the link
Additional teams, groups (legacy) or role groups can also be set but this is not required
Select the Copy button to generate and copy the link to your clipboard
Send the link to any team members you want to invite to your Iconik domain
Configuring an Invite Link
When creating an invite link from the Users page, you can configure the following before copying the link:
Required Settings
User type
Select the user type that will be applied to everyone who joins using this link.Primary team
Choose the primary team new users will be added to.
Optional Settings
Additional teams
Add users to one or more additional teams upon joining.Role groups
Assign role groups to apply specific permissions automatically.
All users who join via the same link will receive the same configuration.
Managing Invite Links in Domain Settings
Invite links can be enabled or disabled at the domain level from Admin > Settings > Login Settings.
Enable or Disable Invite Links
When enabled, users with the ability to invite users to the domain can create and share invite links
When disabled, no new invite links can be created or used
If there are active links when this feature is disabled, those links will immediately become disabled upon turning off this functionality and users will need to be sent invites via email
Disable All Active Invite Links
From Domain system settings, you can also immediately disable all active invite links.
Selecting DELETE ALL EXISTING LINKS and confirming will invalidate every existing invite link
All active links stop working immediately
Any new invites will require generating a new invite link
This is useful if a link was shared unintentionally or if access needs to be restricted quickly.
Sharing the Invite Link
Once created, you can copy the invite link and share it however you like—for example:
Email
Chat tools
Internal documentation
Each person who uses the link will be guided through account setup and added according to the settings you defined.
Invite Link Notifications
After you share an invite link, you’ll receive an email notification each time a user signs up using that link, indicating what email was used to create the new user.
This helps you:
Track who is joining your account
Confirm that invitations were used successfully
Monitor onboarding activity without checking the Users page
You can review and manage domain users at any time from the Users page.
Invite Link Expiration
For security reasons, invite links automatically expire after 7 days.
Expired links can no longer be used
You can generate a new invite link at any time from the Users page
Things to Keep in Mind
Invite links can be used by multiple people
All users who join through a link are set to the same user type, team or group (legacy), and role group assignments
To change settings, create a new invite link
Disabling invite links at the domain level immediately deletes all existing links
Invite links are ideal for onboarding groups, contractors, or new teams quickly
