Navigating to the panel
Face recognition is available for all image and video assets within iconik. To begin, navigate to your asset collection or search for specific assets.
Note: Your administrator must enable face recognition in the settings menu for this feature to function.
Running Face Recognition
To initiate face recognition on an asset within iconik:
- Choose an image or video from your collection.
- Access the Face Recognition panel either through the left menu or the asset's three-dot menu.
- Click Detect persons and then Run face recognition in the pop-up window.
Note: To perform face recognition on your entire asset collection, you can initiate a bulk job for a specific collection or a selected group of assets.
Rerun Face Recognition
To rerun face recognition, click the cogwheel icon in the top right corner.
Whenever you want to rerun face recognition there will be an option to skip assets where face recognition has already been performed.
Limitations
Today iconik is automatically discarding blurry, tilted or smaller faces that appear up to a certain degree to improve the face matching while running the recognition. Future updates will introduce an even more advanced face recognition system.
