Subclips can be edited in two ways:
- Editing the information that the Subclip contains such as metadata, access control, comments, approval and relationships
- Editing the in-point and out-point of the Subclip.

These are the roles that are needed:
- asset
- search
Editing Subclip information
Subclip assets have some of the same abilities for storing information on them as normal assets. These are edit in the same way as on assets:
- Metadata - This will update the time based metadata on the parent clip.
- Comments
- Review and Approve
- Time-based Metadata - Though this is for viewing only at the moment. Time-based metadata is entered on the parent clip and shown where it overlaps with the time-frame of the Subclip.
- Poster
- Access Control
- Sharing
- Relationships
Editing Subclip time information.
The Editing of the in-point and out-point of the Subclip is done on the Parent asset of the Subclip. To edit this, navigate to the parent Subclip in one of these ways:
- On the subclip page, the parent will be listed next to the title. Click on the name of the parent asset.
- On the subclip page, open the relationship panel and click on the Subclip parent asset.
- Go straight to the parent of the Subclip you wish to edit.
Then to edit the in-point and out-point:
- Open the subclip panel using the icon on the left side
- Find the subclip in the list of Subclips
- Click on the metadata icon for the Subclip
- This will open the Time Based Metadata Panel with the entry for the Subclip.
- Click on the Edit icon for the Metadata entry
- You can click on the timecode entries, and enter in new timecode values.
- Click When you are finished click SAVE
