Adding Metadata when Uploading

You can easily add metadata whilst uploading.

Roles

These are the roles that are needed:

• asset
• search
• metadata
• upload

To Add Metadata While Uploading:

1. Start an upload anywhere the uploader widget is shown
2. Before you click UPLOAD right click on the file name or click themenu
3. Select Set Metadata
4. Select which Metadata View you want.
5. Fill in the fields you wish to add; remember that some fields are mandatory.
6. Click UPDATE
7. Do the upload as per normal.

Adding Metadata to multiple files

You can add the same metadata to multiple files at the same time.

1. Add your files into the uploader widget.
2. In the list, you can:
   • Select each file by clicking on the row
   • Shift+click multiple continuous files 
   • CTRL/CMD+click multiple non-continuous files
3. On any of the files, open the menu above
4. Follow the instructions above to set the metadata.
