Adobe Photoshop Integration

iconik integrates with Adobe Photoshop by using their panel architecture.

What is Supported

  • Support for searching and viewing assets in iconik from the Adobe Application.
  • Support for opening files from iconik.
  • Support for uploading files from within the Adobe Application to iconik.

Note for Silicon Macs:

To use the Iconik Panel with Photoshop, users on Silicon Macs (M1/M2/M3 etc) must run Photoshop in Rosetta Mode. To do so, please follow the below instructions.

  1. Quit Photoshop if it’s open.
  2. In Finder, go to Applications (or Applications → Adobe Photoshop [version]).
  3. Select Adobe Photoshop [version].app.
  4. Choose File → Get Info.
  5. Check Open using Rosetta

  6. Launch Photoshop again. You should see the Iconik Panel under Window → Extensions (Legacy)

If you do not see the “Open using Rosetta” option, follow these steps:

  1. Open Terminal.
  2. Run:
/usr/sbin/softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-license

This installs Rosetta without needing to trigger the prompt first.
